Dang Freetown Fred... how many times have you gone out and swept the snow off the trucks? Must be something ya can do inside the home tain't there? Got out of work early. Plowed drive at 530AM about 6" or so then. Got home about another 10" or so, was about 100 PM when I took pics after plowing driveway. Not supposed to stop for about another 3> 4 hours. Then on /off flurries all night into tomorrow sometime. Wind is blowing pretty hard now so drifts will be happening.

40* and nice rain...
Going to blow hard soon...
70+ mph gusts...
But that beats having snow and 70+ mph gusts...

Went out around 11:00 this morning to open up the road. Snowing & blowing pretty hard up here in NW CT. About foot on ground at that time and still coming down to beat the band.
J.L.
I'll go back out around 4, then come inside sit by the hot coal stove and have a bunch of barley corn waters. J.L.

Probably 20" so far I am estimating. Total white out... at least we are half way through and it will snow until 5PM. I am a sensitive Hudson Valley boy, I can't take this.
A snapshot of Route 84 near us.

My grand kids want to come up from the city and use the Caterpillar to build a snowman. If anyone else says it looks like a winter wonderland they will get punched out (my relatives from West Palm Beach).
Time to get serious ...

Life is just a bowl of Cherries ... the right arm on the skid steer just broke, perhaps a pic later.
OK God, enough fun you can stop now.
Next up my Bombardier SW48 parked at the end of the barn that is completely submerged.
Last year a gentle warm up but now to get serious again.

Misery loves company,
I just finished replacing the driven belt for The JDLA115 42 inch snow caster.
At least I had the space heater to melt things down and keep me warm while I fixed it.
I was not about to pay JD $130.00 for an A116 V belt where I could get the same belt at tractor supply for $26+- and change or a Kevlar belt from Mcmaster Carr if this one breaks.
All I have to do is fire up the salamander to melt all the snow and ice off it again and warm up the engine and transmission before I use it to clear both driveways again.

Shoveled out a ways from the house and the tape measure shows 22 inches deep. Fred's idea of waiting sounds like a good plan.
All that's showing of my full-sized all-wheel drive station wagon is the outer tip of the driver's mirror sticking out of a large mound of snow. And it's still coming down........
Maybe I'll set the alarm clock for April and go back to bed.
Paul
