I seriously doubt that any Trump administration Russia contacts (if any) were nefarious in nature, or were a threat to national security.
Our entire military/industrial/financial complex rests upon the pillar of maintaining the status of Russia as a totally evil nation bent solely upon the disruption and destruction of the USA. Anyone should be able to see through the thinness of this veil, and realize that we are merely using Russia (a nation that can't come close to competing with us militarily) as a strawman by which to retain our world dominating military presence. I'm shocked that it is now the Democrats (who openly tolerate and welcome many facets of socialism) who are screaming the loudest here. I'm not shocked that a number of Republicans have joined them. The warmongers being foremost among them. An odd coalition indeed. It's clearly a "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" coalition.
Given that Obama 'hot miked' directly to the Russian ambassador on worldwide TV that after his election he would be in a better position to scratch Putin's back, it seems that if Trump is going to be brought down due to something as mundane as this, then Obama should also have been brought down for his collusion with Russia (and hard).
