Who Should Obama & McCain Pick For Running Mates?

I would like to see Obama pick Republican Senator Chuck Hagel from Nebraska. I think he (Hagel) would accept & he would be a huge boost to the Obama side, IMO. (there are rumors that he is in consideration)


Why Hagel?

1. He is from the nation's heartland (Nebraska)
2. He is a decorated Vietnam veteran
3. Being a Republican, he would do much to show that Obama is serious about ending gridlock in DC.
4. Most Importantly....He is an honorable man!


As far as McCain is concerned, I don't think it really matters (How about Karl Rove or Jeb Bush?)
