Thanks a ton everyone, I really appreciate the insight. I've been looking into a Hitzer 30-95 or the next size up. I'm sure this has been done to death but I like the conversation and meeting new friends so.... Does anyone have experience with the hitzer 30-95 or 50-93? If so, where is it located in your home and what is the sqft?also how much coal do you burn with it and what are your average Temps in the winter and how long are your winters? I'm gonna take a bunch of pics of my basement and try to get a blueprint drawn up so you can have an idea of the layout of my basement.

Someone mentioned I was very close to some antique stove dealers, would you happen to know the names of these stores?

Your welcome, J5.

Since William first extolled the benefits of base heaters, there are now dozens of us with a Glenwood #6 and #8. And there are many of the Wings Best 116X and Harold #6 equivalent base heaters.

Anthracite is what they do best with. But we have a few owners that use wood in the warmer "shoulder months",.... and even a couple of owners that use Bit coal successfully. But shhhhhh,.. don't tell William ! ;)

In case you haven't seen William's six, wonderful You Tube videos of his #6 in action. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWL5DuMWw4U
