I won't even get into Romney's philosophy. He's been on every side of every issue so he clearly doesn't have one.

But Ryan, in his speech before Congress asking them to vote for TARP even said it went against his philosophy, but he was going to do it anyway.

So when the next bubble bursts, can you trust him to stick with his philosophy or go against it again?

You are putting in awful lot of faith in guys who have no track record of doing the right thing.

Some people think he did do the right thing "at the time" and I do firmly beleive that faith wins heads over heels to lack of faith--let's say it's of a spiritual nature. ;)

It may or it may not depending on the unique demands of the new job which differ from that of the old job. State government differs from federal government.

Even voting records may not predict future action because we can't know all the reasons for a vote. Often a politician will go along with something he disagrees with to get something else he considers more important. Politics is the art of the possible, rather than a rigid stance on principle and get nothing. You live to fight another day.

As for the Romney Ryan philosophy I much prefer what they say over what Obama has to say concerning business, energy, and role of government. If elected they will push in that direction. Even absolute monarchs had trouble getting all they wanted so there will be compromise and lots for you to criticise, but things will move a bit more in the direction you favor than if Obama remains.

Let's see. I'm pretty young so I've only experienced a handful of them.

Jimmy Carter - Ehh.. I was an infant.
Reagan - I was really too young to really know.
Bush - He was my first real president so I guess he was ok. Again, still too young to really understand.
Clinton - Again, I didn't really pay much attention, but he was kind of cool.
Bush - He was worse than his old man, but he was ok.
Obama - Guy's an *censored*. I hate him. I really started paying attention to him. I've been affected by his *censored* up retarded policies and I've been burned by him financially. So *censored* him.

Guess we know where I stand.

He got better as he got older. Unfortunately he wasn't president any more.

You're lucky. But you probably noticed that your Mom started feeding you ketchup in lieu of green vegetables. Just as healthy.... And he raised taxes.
I'm On Fire wrote:Bush - He was my first real president so I guess he was ok.
He had experience and he had some sense in his head and he raised taxes.
I'm On Fire wrote:Clinton - Again, I didn't really pay much attention, but he was kind of cool.
BJs in the Blue Room, who could ask for anything more?
I'm On Fire wrote:Bush - He was worse than his old man, but he was ok.
Don't forget it was really Cheney and Rummy performing the duties of president. So I guess we can't really blame him personally for the damage and devastation, except for being asleep at the switch. And he cut taxes to help pay for his war. Good man if you need some brush cut.

That's understandable. He's no worse than lots of others, but he's the wrong color so it's OK to hate him. Oh, and he "hates America", unlike every other president past and future.

Haven't we all? Pretty much EVERYTHING was broken when he took office, and even now he has not finished fixing it all. That's unforgivable.

Why do you have such a knack for misquoting things, even when it's right in front of you in black & white. Trust me when I tell you, I am very familiar with ego's & self will run riot. For the sake of???? just appearing right to some ??? Nowhere did anyone/me mention prayer. If I remember correctly, memories are funny when you get older, you are a proclaimed athiest?

Never realized how many of my relatives and friends stand to right of me and to the left of me until I joined Facebook and NEPACrossroads.

Wrong color? :gee: Tow the party line much?

HIS WORDS: "If I don't get this economy back on track by the end of my term, well, then, it's going to be a one-term proposition." By his OWN standard ... or arrogance, depending on how you look at it, even HE figured his "awesomeness" would get the economy back on track in less than 4 years.

Why nobody can figure out that socialist/communist/marxist policies NEVER work, I'll never figure out. It's all right there in the history books for all to see. Every single time it was tried, it FAILED.

The REAL unemployment number today is 11.3% - It's FAILING today as well.
