Who was the worst president in your life time

I agree with LS on most counts.

The 2 party system is flawed. that needs to change.

I like Ross P. also and very much like the ideas of Ron Paul.

The sad fact is we face another election where we are voting for the lesser of two evils. Its ashame it has to be that way.

With all this GWB bashing lets think back to 9/11/2001. If you had been asked at that time, will GWB & company be able to prevent another attack for the next 7 years, what would you have said? I know what I said at the time, No Way! As a country, we were shaking in our boots every time a stray fireworks went off.

Keeping the homeland safe is job 1 for a prez and he has done just that under very difficult conditions, many of them created by very partisan political hacks, that are more interested in Bush bashing than keeping the country safe.

Yes he seems to be an arrogant jerk, but he has kept the murders on a leash

+5 ( I think, I lost count) for Carter. He humiliated us as a country in a very big way then, and he still won't shut up and go pick peanuts, but instead continues to meet with dictators and bad mouth America

If some how you believe that, it is like saying that since there were no attacks during previous administrations somehow they did a good job protecting us. This is bull, the reason there were no more attacks was simple, there were just no more attacks.

And as for bashing GWB, people have been bashing Jimmy Carter for the last 28 years and blame every ill during that period, somehow on him. I am sorry but GWB is the biggest loser we have ever had.

If we were attacked, we would have been subjected to an endless ream of reasons from the left as to how GWB failed us miserably in his most important duty. Can't have it both ways buddy...

Bush deserves the same credit for preventing an attack after the 9/11 tragedy (which he failed to heed warnings about) as he deserves for us not being struck by an asteroid during his "Reign".........That is NONE!!!

Let's see......Who was President when the CIA urgently reported an imminent threat within the USA...Was it Clinton?...Why no.....It was GW Bush who listened to that grave threat & then acted decisively........He went on a month's long vacation....August-2001...The month before the 9/11 attack!

We've had some bad ones but frat-boy Bush-Lite has to be the worst. Carter and Nixon had major flaws but Bush-Lite has outdone them both by far. He has created messes that will take the next three or four Presidents to clean up. Probably longer than I'll be around to see. History will not be kind to him or all of us for going along with it. Worst part about that is the candidates we're looking at now don't appear to be capable even starting to right things around. Where are the leaders that will put country first? We are all in deep, deep trouble.
I will say that I think Bush makes a good case about the need for the war on terror. But the war he is conducting is absurd. It's made matters much worse, was initiated without reasonable forethought and will never accomplish what we needed to accomplish. At home his domestic policy has gone a long way towards ruining the stability of our society.

Since a REAL good case can be made for selecting GW Bush as the worst President in our history, doesn't it bother any Bush apologists out there that, while you claim McCain would not be Bush's 3rd term, his campaign speeches are written by & his economic advisers are all Bush's men?

Actually not to bad, thanks for asking. I have been buying PSQ & SDS (stock symbols) and they are doing very well over the last month
