Not really, it may lose some volitiles but it should have no noticeable impact on it. I just got 8 tons of coal that was outside for about 15 years and it is the best coal I have ever burned.

Well, If you REALLY want that,, I'm sure someone could fix you up,, but I think burning oil or using electric baseboard heaters would be cheaper, by the time you add fuel surcharges,, Bagging fees, Wheelbarrow, and stacking fees. :D :lol: :x :shock: Neatly stacking is an additional 10% :D :shock:

I figure that your ten tons delivered, stacked etc,, would work out to about $450-$500/ton.. :shock: :shock:

I am looking for to buy some high quality bagged coal somewhere off 81 in PA in a couple weeks. I need a good source that will sell bagged. I keep hearing about exit 124 and near there but I cant find any info in the yellow pages down there. I don't want to go through a shady broker and end up with a ton of rocks. Does anyone on here have a reliable source close off 81 that will let me buy 1200-1500 lbs bagged at a time. I need nut or pea or stove and a good price. it is going for about 300 a ton up here in NH at the local hardware store. But I travel to PA twice a month so I would like to save money when passing through.

Why dont you take some bags with you and bag some yourself. It isn't that much more work really. Someone I know told me that it takes two guys about 20 minutes to bag a ton. At that rate it would take you 30 minutes by yourself. Scott

If you take Exit 124 off of I-81 you will be 3.5 miles from Blaschack Coal co. / Breaker bagging co.
you can't find anything better then going right to the source for bagged coal look at the link below
you will get off the exit and go threw Frackville to the Mahanoy city exit when you get to the stop sign at the bottom of the ramp take a left go a mile to a mile and half go over the bridge go a 1/4
mile you will see Blaschack on you left go to the office and tell them what you want

Coal Berner, i contacted the bagger you recommended (blaschact) and they stated they only sell to their dealers. i will be comming down that way to pick up coal and would take either bags or bulk. the bulk trailer i have available will haul 22 tons. or i can bring a 40' flat trailer. where is the best place to go and approx price? any contact info is appriciated. want to do this next week. Roy That would be for bagged coal you can buy all of the bulk loose you want from them and I am sure if you came down with a 40 foot trailer they would fill it with Pallet bagged coal and you would become a dealer Pretty Quick Now i only recommend Blaschack for bagged coal only if you want bulk loose then I would go to Superior coal or UAE Hamony mine
the only problem I see with a 40 flatbed trailer is unless it has front back and sides on it there is no way to keep the bulk loose coal on it you need sides and back & front so bring the other trailer PM me I will give info to the breaker or take you to the breaker if you can get 22 tons then the Price for the coal would be 137.00 a ton at Superior 140.00 under 20 tons UAE is 130.00 a ton but I do not know if they will have 22 tons on hand you would have to give them a few days they sell alot of coal anyway Just PM me I will give you my Number so we can talk
