Scott,

I'll be getting the coal next week on her day off. Her back yard had two feet of corn snow and was impassable with a four wheel drive. The other option was to carry the coal thru her house. Not a good idea with a wet basement.

I've known Preston Stanley for 25 years. Even before he got into stoves. Nice guy with a nice business. Talked to him on the phone several months ago.

For those who don't know Preston, he converts old cast iron stoves to run on gas or electricity. He mostly sells to dealers and has quite a volume.

Go to http://www.1stclass-auctions.com . Call Paul Albrecht, who is a Reading stove dealer. He knows of someone in Madison, that may sell stoves and coal in the future.

Hi all, new here.
I am going to install an A-130 stoker this summer.
I was interested in the location of a breaker west of Allentown PA
I have access to a dump trailer, and with my pickup, I could easily fit 3 tons.
Thanks, and great board

Hi. Tdevery
I live in Northampton, the best and closest breaker I found is Tuscaroa Coal (570-668-1633) it's in Middleport Pa about 6 mi west of Tamaqua Pa. It's burns really good and hot 9% ash.

Tuscaroa coal is 2.5 miles from me it is and always inconsistent in Quality and will change from load to load lots of different stipping mine co. taking coal there from around the area South Tamaqua coal Pockets coal co. is on route 309 will be closer and Premium Anthracite coal breaker is another one that will be closer they are behind South Tamaqua coal But all will have the same problem as Tuscaroa will in consistents in Quality there is also Ginther coal co witch is 1.5 miles from me they will 4.5 miles west of Tuscaroa coal co. Thats why I drive 18 to 40 miles to buy my coal all deep mine all is consistent in Quality all the time 130.00 a ton to 140 a ton They are off of i-81 exit 107 to 116 Let me know next time you need coal you will see what I am talking about

I tryed South Tamaqua & Premium, but Tuscaroa was far the best quality of the three. As far as consistentency I can't say much I've only bin there for two loads, but they both were good. I'll have to try Superior next season. I talked to a guy that works for White Pine, He claims they'll be starting there breaker up any day now??

cooper. I don't know how far your willing to travel but there is a place in Bristol, CT that is one of the biggest suppliers that carries Blaschak coal. They only carry bagged coal. Nut, pea, I know for sure. They used to carry rice, but you will have to call and check. I buy my coal from them $270 a ton last time I checked.

B.T. Enterprises
500 Broad Street
Bristol,CT
(860)589-3558

There is another place in New Britain CT called Household Coal & Oil. You can buy in loose bulk if you want.

Household Coal & Oil

New Britain,CT 06051

Looking for a supplier of coal in iowa , perfer to find one that handles bulk. Seems hard to believe Id have trouble finding one when you live in a state that sits over huge coal deposits.
