Ive read about a couple breakers you have referred to like Superior and a few others. My question is What breaker with a quality source of Rice coal would be best for me to try to get a price from that would deal with a homeowner arranging his own trucking? Also if anybody from the forum uses a reliable trucker that would come out my way I would like to talk to them also.
Thanks Curt
All of the Breakers will deal with you if you bring you own Truck & you can call them to get Phone Numbers Of Trucking Companies they use to Haul coal here are the links to the ones I buy from & told or help others on this Forum :)

Superior coal will give you more B.T.U.'s Per lb The Ash content will be higher 12.4% for Rice & buck
The Price per ton right now is 140.00 Pick - up bulk loose at breaker wet or dry as of 8/1/08 The price will be 150.00 a ton Deep mine Red ash coal so get it now .

Blaschak is 165.00 a ton Picked - up at breaker wet or dry bulk loose 11% ash content less BTUs Per lb Surface mining coal
white & red ash mix Price Increase :?:

UAE Harmony Mine Deep Red Ash coal 6 To 7 % ash content 130.00 a ton dry coal Picked up at breaker Price increase :?: More BTU's per lb then Blaschak but not as much as Superior coal Look at the links below for address and Phone Numbers

Looking at two tons for a first season, if this matters to distributors. Bagged would be preferred.
You might talk to the manager of your local AGWAY to see if they will or have a
store that has it. I got most of our coal from this year at about $315/ton/ nut
I can get rice from cranston RI for about 230/ton bulk pu. I will be approching
my local agway for rice this year myself. duuuuh I just realized the post is 7 pages
excuse the nube

Farmingdale Agway, just south of Augusta carries rice. I'm not sure if they have any left, but I see it when I'm picking up nut coal. They carry Blashack. You would want to see if a local Agway has it as well, since their delivery charge is pretty steep.

Hello Folks
Last year I burned coal for 2 straight weeks with what I would call pretty good beginers luck.
It worked out great after one or two minor mishaps.
The kind folks on here gave me plenty of helpfull advice and all was greatly appreciated.
Now I need to ask another favor from any of you who live in area within 50 miles of the PA/NY border from Scranton area to Port Jervis area (Rt 209) Mid state to NoEast corner
I need to make a trip to PA to get some coal.
Would like names of some dealers that handle Bagged Chesnut coal. Would be after a minmum of 2 pallets at a time and if I could get a deal I have a friend who goes to PA with a 45' flatbed trailer . If I posted in wrong spot please tell me so I can do it again. Tim V
PS I may also have acess to a trailer that can hold 3 or 4 tons of bulk coal . (my friend bought one just for going to get coal . He is getting and auto feed that burns rice coal on a recommendation form a another friend who got one last year( think he just wanted another toy..he has a triaxle dump but at 4 miles a gallon.....
Also we are 50 miles north of Albany

I guess what I would really appreciate is about 10 tons of Superior Coal, delivered to my house....Bagged......Brought around back .....stacked neatly by the back basement door & the coal stove started next fall. Simple really!
