Econo motor noise

Econo motor noise

I have a new econo I am beginning to set up. Today I gave it a dry run with the motors plugged into the coal-trol. I would have to say that the feeder motor is what I would call excessively noisy. The noise is coming from the gear box I believe. I took the motor off the stove and when I ran it that way it would quiet down nicely when I held it at certain angles and get noisy again when I turned it a bit. Is this normal?? Sounds like it may be bad or just needs grease in the gear box. What do you think? Thanks, John

Grease in the gear box is always a good thing. Scott
