Yeah and Jay on I on either side look kinda different too!  (not saying which one is which)

Camping at Knoebels is still possible:

http://www.knoebels.com/family-vacation.asp

However I didn't notice that there are no "beverages" allowed. So how about this one:

http://www.twingrove.com/

Jay might know a better one but this one seems to have lots of activities.

Well if we do knobles it would be about 1 to 1.5 hr away from coal breakers / mine tours & Yuengling Plus There is alot of big mountains to go up & over with a turck or trailer full of coal All of what I suggested is with in 20 mins to 30 min everything is much closer I do not think Knobles Park is open on the 24th or 25th
As For Twingrove I was Just there in July for 3 days Nice Camp ground 1 hr from Pottsville If we are just looking for a Place to Meet & Drink or camp out we can go to one of the two state parks or one of the 3 camp grounds close by
We could also do a Yuengling tour and go right to the # 9 mine And Have A cook out And Meet There for the day Use Pottsville for the meeting Place and go from there

If I am reading all of this correctly, the #9 tour and picnic in Lansford will be the LAST activity of the day?? I live about 30 mins from Lansford. I have an excellent yard for camping and understanding neighbors. ( I hope). it'd be okay to camp in my yard for the night for those of you needing a nice section of grass and a bathroom. I don't think we can have a fire the size of *Richard's* best but a fire in a barrel and some lawn chairs will be possible. We can easily set up 10 or more tents.

I'm not even in charge of my own self... how could I handle this!?? :P

So when will you know if you can make it?

So I guess part of this is we need to see who wants to get coal and if so how much, I'm sure coalberner will correct me but UAE is limited to locals for 2 tons, Superior is low on coal, Summit has coal, Calvin Lenig has coal but the rice is iffy IMO, and others ???

Knoebles is obviously out, we were looking at options for camping (Note that Rosemount doesn't allow alcohol), also Cap has offered his facilities, So when you indicate your interest please answer the following:
1. day and time of arrival and planned departure date and time
2. Camping or Motel or day trip only
3. Interest in Yuengling tour, mine tour, other?
4. Getting coal?
5. Number of adults and children in party
6. any other info you can think of that is needed LOL

Maybe we have to postpone this to spring....
Here are my plans as they stand right now:

1. 10/24 7:00 PM leaving Sunday ??
2. Camping
3. yes, and yes
4. no
5. 1 (barely! LOL) and 1
6. We need to coordinate with Mike on the number 9 tour!

So c'mon fellas, please put in your reservations and let's see if we are doing this! toothy

UAE still has a two ton limit per week you must call the day before you want to get the coal they only want local People
to buy coal that is what Wendy told me This morning 145 a ton Superior will sell small loads 1 to 2 tons 160 a ton Calvin V lenig is also low on coal they would like you to call first to make sure they will have enough Summit Anthracite has coal

170.00 a ton Sherman coal co. also has a good supply 160.00 a ton but will be going up to 170.00 a ton if they did not already I talked to Mike weeks ago about Using the # 9 mine pervilion for a picnic he said no problem Rosemount Campground will be closed for the season on Oct 15th so that is out Camp A while will close for the season on Oct 26th so that will work TwinGrove Park is open all year long a bit out of the way and there Rates are not cheap Blaschak has coal 180.00 a ton bulk loose I am 90% sure I will be not able to make it on Saturday Oct. 25th another wedding same goes for
Saturday Oct. 11th I am trying to get out of the one on the 24th but does not look good will keep everyone posted

I'm working, on the 24th-25th, so I'm not able to go. I'll definitely try to make a springtime M&G.
