Ordered Leisure Line Hearth Stove

Earlier this week I put an order in for a Leisure Line Hearth model stove. My dealer is Hollenbeck Feed and Coal near Owego, NY. The folks there were very knowledgable. I went there thinking I would buy a hand-fired fireplace insert, but after talking to Gary and his wife, I decided on the LL Hearth. I think the deciding point for me was the Coal-Trol.

I plan to do the installation myself. I have previous experience with wood stoves, but any tips would be appreciated I have a 12 inch square flue which I plan to vent it through. Do you think I will need to go with a stainless steel liner ?

Any input will be appreciated.

I want my cousin to buy one of those to vent into his fireplace. Mainly b/c of the Coal-trol! Nice choice!

How much does the Hearth cost?

Welcome Salvaje to our forum. Without knowing how well your draft will pull with a 12" flue, that's a tough question to answer. I don't think you will need a liner, but just remember that after you put the pipe up the chimney (about 2' past the damper) you need to close off (seal) the damper area on your fireplace. You can not have gases come back down into the fireplace and be blown into the room. You'll get plenty of help here, just ask.

The folks at Hollenbeck's spoke very highly of you and Leisure Line. That was a big reason I made the choice I did.
The stove will be around $2300 which includes the barometric damper. Hollenbeck's includes 400 lb of rice coal with the deal.
