Those damn Arabs have so much oil money, they don't even know how to spend it all... :( :(

The end is truely near. Have you seen the 1 hour special on CNN about the current oil crisis? This is scary. We are totally screwed. Not only are Earth's oil reserves basically gone; we're consuming what little oil that is left at an accellerated rate. And India and China are bound an determined to ensure they get a chance to burn their share. We are totally screwed. Batten down the hatches. This is gonna be a rough ride for the next couple of years. $4.00 gas will be cheap 2-3 years from now. One of my business colleagues recently returned from Europe. Said the price of gas was $10/gallon over there. He'd never seen so many motorcycles on the road. It's the only mode of transportation people can afford in Europe.

 Wonder what kind of fuel mileage that thing gets? Do they measure it in feet per gallon?

Gas in most European states is heavily taxed. The rate in the U.S. is around 50 cents per gallon in most states: http://www.pennsylvaniagasprices.com/tax_info.aspx

The tax on that $10 a gallon fuel is like 50-60%...

Dude, don't believe everything you see & hear on/in the media(government controlled). The oil is not NEARLY gone - they just want you to believe it to help justify the screwing they're giving us.................

To be precise the oil is about half gone actually.... we reached that point about 2005.

World wide consumption of oil is rising by 10 percent.
Worldwide production of oil is falling about 2 percent.

DO the math....

Before we knew about drilling for oil we used whale oil, before that we used something else, before that they used something else, etc... People have been here for thousands of years and haven't froze to extinction yet, we'll figure something out I'm sure of it.
