Oh man.......Old news!...With McCain flip-flopping daily now, stumbling all over the map & blindly lashing out at his political foes regarding the economic disaster we face......Who cares about that old crap?
He's a caricature of his former self & should really withdraw from the campaign.(If this was a prize fight, the referee would be stepping into the ring to stop the fight!...McCain can no longer even protect himself! :box: ) Let Ron Paul take over his mantle of Republican candidate. (I think Ron Paul has too much integrity to even want that mantle though)

I was a supporter of Ross Perot until he humiliated Admiral Stockdale.
He should have known that he was incapable of carrying the load.
The man had a wire off in his control panel and Perot should have known it.
He had a life of splendid service. To be remembered this way is sad.

About 50 yrs ago on a small island about 90 miles off the
coast of the United States a young man rose to prominence due to the
fact that he was a great speaker with much charisma and promises of
"Hope and Change" from the current system of free market.

He said if elected he would see that the poor farmers would be taken care of
through government health care, He spoke against the rich and the
wealthy, he promised free education for the children.

The press loved him of course they saw no wrong in him and could only report
how great he was and that such a leader has arrived at a time when the people
were looking for change of the government of that particular
time.....The people shouted "Viva Fidel" Viva Fidel" "Viva Fidel"*

Now this great leader of hope and change owns the press, the
government runs the health care program of this little country Island,

There is no difference between the middle class and the poor due to
high taxes. And the family's hand over their children to the
government to be educated. No longer do the people cry "Viva Fidel,
"Viva Fidel"

Oh yes there is change....But the only hope is the hope to get off this Island to a

free market "90 miles off of their shore" *

I see your point.......

We should reject any well spoken, charismatic & hopeful candidate in favor of change, and vote for the most uncharismatic, poorly spoken & depressing candidate who promises to continue our misery.
Have I got your main point down right? ;)

[quote="Devil505"]""I'll make oil companies like Exxon pay a tax on their windfall profits, and we'll use the money to help families pay for their skyrocketing energy costs and other bills,

Exxon Mobil already pays more tax than one half of the entire population of the U.S. combined! Also CORPORATIONS DO NOT PAY TAXES ANYWAY! :no1: The 40 billion dollars that they paid last year.was just rolled into the price of a gallon of gas.So the poor, innocent, single, teenage, minority, crippled, blind, mother of 8 illegitimate children from 7 different fathers has to pay the tax anyway. If they raise the tax it will only raise the price of gas. If you don't believe me just go down to any buisness of YOUR choice (just so it is not biased)and ask the owner, "If the govt raises your taxes will you eat that cost or will you be forced to raise prices?" Tell me what he said!

They are raping us with their gas/home heating oil prices anyway! (let's at least get some of our taxes paid by them so you & I won't have to pay so much)

& they are "reporting" high taxes paid, for tax purposes. In reality....WE are paying the bulk of taxes. Oil company money is paying for the Bentley's, Mercedes, yachts, etc of the oil company's CEOs .....who are making MILLIONS.

That is how the game is played!Go down to Venezuela and see for yourself how Hugo Chavez has increased the production and efficiency of the Venezuela oil industry by nationalizing it! The moral of the story is the harder you work the more money you make. I earn more than several co-workers by delivering early and staying late. if I earned the same amount, I will start to sleep in and run for the door at quitting time and not try for that extra load. it is called incentive. Why should ANYONE work harder if there is no incentive for their labor. The answer is the Soviet Union. How long did that last? The other answer is slavery but no one wants to go back to that.

CAPITAL GAINS TAX

MCCAIN
0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.

OBAMA
28% on profit from ALL home sales. (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.)

DIVIDEND TAX

MCCAIN
15% (no change)

OBAMA
39.6% - (How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.')

INCOME TAX

MCCAIN

(no changes)
Single making 30 K - tax $4,500
Single making 50 K - tax $12,500
Single making 75 K - tax $18,750
Married making 60 K- tax $9,000

Single making 50 K - tax $14,000
Single making 75 K - tax $23,250
Married making 60 K - tax $16,800
Married making 75 K - tax $21,000
Married making 125 K - tax $38,750
Under Obama, your taxes could almost double!

INHERITANCE TAX

MCCAIN
- 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)

OBAMA
Restore the inheritance tax

Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will only lose them to these taxes.

NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA

New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet. New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least....New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!
