Remember that was an episode on Gilligans island. the professor thought the island was sinking. and everyone was going to drown. It turned out that Gilligan was using the measuring stick to hold his crab traps. p.s. The eternal question Mary Ann or Ginger?

NASA's James E. Hansen compares coal trains to the death trains of the holocaust:
Special interests have blocked transition to our renewable energy future. Instead of moving heavily into renewable energies, fossil companies choose to spread doubt about global warming, as tobacco companies discredited the smoking-cancer link. Methods are sophisticated, including funding to help shape school textbook discussions of global warming.

CEOs of fossil energy companies know what they are doing and are aware of long-term consequences of continued business as usual. In my opinion, these CEOs should be tried for high crimes against humanity and nature.
NY Times Comment wrote: He has used strong words and imagery before to drive home points, including comparing cordons of coal cars heading to power plants to the death trains of the Holocaust (because of the mass extinctions foreseen by many biologists should warming go unabated).
And:
The difference is that now we have used up all slack in the schedule for actions needed to defuse the global warming time bomb. The next President and Congress must define a course next year in which the United States exerts leadership commensurate with our responsibility for the present dangerous situation.

Otherwise it will become impractical to constrain atmospheric carbon dioxide, the greenhouse gas produced in burning fossil fuels, to a level that prevents the climate system from passing tipping points that lead to disastrous climate changes that spiral dynamically out of humanity’s control.

I agree with him in that we should be going full speed ahead with R&D on alternative energy sources but comparing the coal trains to the holocaust trains??? :wtf: This guy is obvioulsy a radical rabid left winger whose earth shoes must be too tight.

A scam to relieve you of hard earned dollars!

MA soon to be #1 gas tax state!
Gov. Deval Patrick is considering raising the gasoline tax in Massachusetts by 27 cents per gallon as part of a comprehensive transportation overhaul plan, The Associated Press learned today.
The proposal would stave off a doubling of Turnpike tolls planned for this summer, but would leave the state with the highest gasoline tax in the nation at 50.5 cents.

Tolls within Route 128, from Weston to Boston, would come down as the state shifts to a program of tracking — and charging — all drivers based on the miles they travel.

Trips would be measured by a chip installed in a vehicle inspection sticker as soon as 2014, and drivers would receive a gas-tax refund to avoid double payments.

The Registry would continue the regulate drivers and vehicle licensing while developing the VMT — or Vehicle Miles Traveled — program.
If they are taxing the fuel you burn why is there a need for the RFID tag?
Studies have show that the gas tax is the most cost effective way to collect fees for road use.
Tinfoil hat time!

Next the HCCC- Home Carbon Consumption Calculation - program.

I've been diligently working on this problem while enjoying the heat off the coal stove this winter, and have narrowed it down to two things.
1)- The rapidly drying ink emitting volatile gasses off of the ever increasing paper money supply.
2)- #1 gases mixing with the foul breath from too many traitorous politicians to create a toxic environment.
Now that I have figured that problem out It's up to you to take action and resolve the situation, because I'm on to bigger problems like population control, and the needed one child per politician legislation proposal I'm working on now.
Please no praise yet. Although I may look like I'm tirelessly working to save humanity, my true goal is that Nobel piece prize and all the fame and fortune that comes with it.
All donations for the cause are welcome. Donations over $100 will receive one of the many trees that sprout in my front lawn every spring from the previous falls seed shedding. Maybe someone could organize a walk-a-thon or something. I guarantee that only 98/100ths will will be diverted to my own pockets.
PLEASE hurry with your funds!! After saving the earth from the carbon prints of too many people upon it, I am scheduled to invent several new vaccines to cure the rest of the population of their good health, so they no longer have the strength to carry their carbon dioxide producing coal buckets to fill their death trains.
You must be saved from yourself, and you are not smart enough to do it on your own.

We all need to allow the politicians to save us from ourselves.

The Global Warming/Climate Change Crisis

Who Cares. Look at the time lines for all this hype. Me and all my family will be long gone by the time all this stuff will happen. OMG eventually the sun will explode and take the earth with it, don't you think we should do something right away?

All this hype is about scamming people out of their hard earned money, think about it.

If this issue is so important why isn't Al Gore pushing the hell out of getting off of oil burning cars and going to hydrogen on an emergency basis. (we should be doing this anyway).

Try this: Put Ice cubes in a glass and fill it to the top with water, wait for the ice to melt and see if it over flows, so much for flooding.
