I'm going to have to say I'm very skeptical of that price. I was charging that for your area 3 years ago and I'm probably 1/3 the distance. ;) See your PM.

That is the going price around here 2 or more ton 25 1 ton 35 for delivery

Who's offering $270/ton bagged and delivered? Best deal I know of is in Easton at $300/ton bulk.

Titus,

RF Chamberland Trucking in St. Agatha. I was a little off on the price. It's $275 for Kimmel's coal and $290 for Blaschak. This is all bagged rice coal. Delivery is more. I live 2 miles from them. I get it myself. Let me know where you live and I'll tell you what the shipping cost per ton would be.

I'm in CT.
Hocon gas of Torrington has it for $269 ton bagged if buying 5 tons.
Household Coal in New Britain has it for $245 pickup, $270/ton delivered
Both claim great quality but I've no specifics.

I picked up almost a ton yesterday .87ton to be exact . They have a nice setup .The dealer seems to be a straight shooter . The coal looks to be deep mined I haven't seen any rock in it .It is very clean not a lot of fines at all . I will hopefully be able to give a report in a couple days once I get it burning . Still some final details to work out with the boiler install . Almost there . The Dealer is right in Beaumont PA Just about 10 miles south of Tunkhannock on rt 29 . Dave

The question asks for price "in your AREA". The poll result would be more meaningful if it displayed prices by AREA.

How about a google gadget like gasbuddy.com does. http://www.gasbuddy.com/GoogleGadget.aspx but with coal related info. This could be a database where you input your zipcode/bagged or bulk/pickup or delivered/rice,buck,nut or stove/mine or brand. Others can add on to the list, this is just the basics.
It would be just like gasbuddy.com but for coal and yes coalbuddy.com is already taken, but not by myself.
If you are looking for traffic this would do it.

Just had 5.75 ton delivered in a standard dump truck and loaded in my bin with a trimmer for 220/ton. It came from Agel. It is high quality. It burns much better than Reading. I thought I did well. I last put in 9 tons of Reading at 205/ton delivered with a high lift in the fall of 2006. (My bin is at grade level)

I ordered seven tons for a delivery price of $220 per ton. I live in Bucks County, PA. I thought it should be cheaper since coal country is just a county or two away. I asked the dealer for the specs. and where he was getting it from. He said he was getting it from the South Tamaqua Pocket. The coal specs are pretty good: 13,400 BTU's per pound, 8% ash and a fusion temp. of 2,700 degrees.
