I am new to buying and burning coal, but so far I really like it. I have burnt wood all winter, at least until I ran out. So we tried coal. I just purchased just over 1 ton of nut anthracite from Miller Creek Mine here in Bicknell, IN. I paid $48 for just a little bit over a ton.

Picked up 1 ton nut bagged Centralia from Beacon Pellet and Coal in Beacon Falls CT $ 304.00

Anthracite isn't mined in Indiana. Your price sounds about right for bituminous.

$240 for Reading (50# bags) (they ran out early)

It's helpful and often reassuring to know coal prices in ones local, and for the sake of curiosity, other locals. However, everybody doesn't report to a standard. Bituminous and Anthracite are mixed, and other variables seldom accounted for....
Would it be possible to create a "form" that would cover the variable? Of course each could also add commentary and findings along with the form...

$140/ton for anthracite you pick it up here in Wilkesbarre pa been getting it there for 15 years thats nut size.
