bulk or bagged

delivery cost
total amount of coal purchased

this all makes a difference

Agreed. Richard needs to setup a multiple question, questionaire. With pretty graphs and pie charts :D

Wow, you guy sure do pay a lot for coal...

I am new to buying and burning coal, but so far I really like it. I have burnt wood all winter, at least until I ran out. So we tried coal. I just purchased just over 1 ton of nut anthracite from Miller Creek Mine here in Bicknell, IN. I paid $48 for just a little bit over a ton.

Anthracite isn't mined in Indiana. Your price sounds about right for bituminous.

Hi guys,
I live in Eastern Montana. We are paying $85-95 a ton this year. Up from $65-75 a year ago.

It's helpful and often reassuring to know coal prices in ones local, and for the sake of curiosity, other locals. However, everybody doesn't report to a standard. Bituminous and Anthracite are mixed, and other variables seldom accounted for....
Would it be possible to create a "form" that would cover the variable? Of course each could also add commentary and findings along with the form...

That's cheap for you folks who are living in a far more affluent area than NEPA!
