Hello all. I just purchased a house that is partially heated with a Godin stove. I have found very little info regarding this cylinder stove on line. As well I am new to the idea of heating by coal. So, my question(s) is(are) a) Is this particular brand noteworthy for efficiency or lackthereof
b) Are there any particular concerns regarding this brand or type of stove (it is a cylinder stove)

I must say it is quite beautifully enameled.

Thanks for any insight! :?:

That same model has been in production for about 125 years, so they must be doing something right.

I just bought a used green small oval...it certainly does get attention.

You can download the owners manual at http://www.rural-energy.com

Click on "brand names", go to "Godin", down at the bottom click on "Godin wood and coal", then click on "owners manual".

That should get you started.
