I got this off their website. Specs look good.
All coal is deep mined from the Williamstown #1 Mine, washed at a modern prep plant, and bagged at a bagging plant with 25 years experience.
Coal specs: 13,200+ BTU dry, 7-9% ash, .6 sulfur, 2800+F AFT. Uniform size. No foreign material.

Don't forget, you are reading THEIR ad, of course it sounds good... I like their price, but it is suspect, I MUST know where the coal comes from, or it isn't worth gambling on a big load,, heck it isn't worth gambling on a small load..
I pulled home 5 tons from 'Laughlin Coal', a small breaker about halfway between Scranton and Berwick.. it looked good, but had poor heat, about 20% ash.. and lots of unburnt. It was a great deal... Only $105 a ton, this was about 2 years ago.. but do the math and it wasn't such a bargain..

It says that all coal is deep mined from the Williamstown #1 Mine. Paulie got a load and it was marked Kimmel's coal on the bags and I believe WIlliamstown is Kimmels mine. I haven't heard too many bad reviews on their coal. Check out this link: http://community.whptv.com/blogs/mike_parker/arch ... 70142.aspx
Taken from new article: Eventually, miners will dig more than 2,000 feet into the mountain. The vein itself is about six miles wide, with an estimated 12 to 14 Million tons of Anthracite coal. That's enough to mine for the next 30 to 40 years.

after reading about the large variations of coal quality from different mines,
is it safe to assume from the previous post that the bottom feed stokers such as the EFM and VW will burn a wider range of coal quality with less problems than the other stokers?
i noted that lsfarm had burning problems with his AA untill the quality of coal was addessed.
thanks

eskimo I think you miss read LSfarm/Greg 's Post about the AA 260 The coal had nothing to do with Problem's he was
having It was few other issues with the AA itself I am sure when he reads this he will clear it up He tried coal from 5 different breaker's and had the same problem it was not the coal Back to your Question Yes and No Underfed stoker's
can burn poor Qaulity coal better then some stoker bed fed stove's but if the coal is real bad in qaulity It will not matter
what you are burning it in Poor Qaulity coal is Just that Poor Even if it burns and it does not Put heat out or is really
High in Ash it is not worth the Time and Money Burning it Not all coal is the same Quality & Consitent is what you want
And that is not always easy to find One Place you may go to and buy coal and it will be the best coal you ever burnt the
next time you go there you might end up with the worst coal you ever had There are very few breaker's & Mines out there that are always consistent in Quality all the time But There is alot more out there that are incosistent in Qaulity you got
to know who and where there are it is much harder for People Outside of the area or out of the State to find & know
who & where you can get good Qaulity coal Read this Forum there is a lot of info about coal Qaulity & consisent it will
help you in finding the good Qaulity coal The local People in the coal Region Know this The People from outside of the
Region or State do not have Fun in reading all of the good info on this Forum
