quote button

Why don't I get a quote button option on the last post of a thread? Once someone else replies I get a quote button on the question but it is missing on the last reply.

It's yo prevent unneeded quoting, it was the Devil Update. :D Too many posts where people were replying with entire quote to previous thread.

Small Update- The Devil5052 Update :)

If you want to quote a previous post or any post the easiest way to do it is first hit the post reply button. Highlight the text you want to quote in the review panel at the bottom of the page and hit the quote button there.

I hate that. Just cut and paste what you want to respond to.

You don't need to cut and paste anything. Use the directions above. It's actually better than directy using the quote button on post. Simpler, easy, no editing... its just like cut and paste except its one click operation.

See the image below, anything highlighted will automatically be placed in the posting panel as quote. You can highlight individual sentences, you don't have to highlight the whole post. Be sure to place your cursor in the posting panel where you want the quote to appear beforehand.

I happened upon it by accident, its not documented in the manual anywhere that I'm aware of. For the record I already posted it few times here including in the sticky, if you see anything in here its generally a good idea to read the posts.
