Well, its been two weeks and no word from Dave at Advanced Energy. Stoker Man, Do you know if dave got my stoker yet? I would call him but he gets real short with me like I am bothering him so I try not to call him. I wish I bought from a penn. dealer.

Kevin:

I just got my EFM boiler delivered to me about 2 weeks ago, and it was about 4 weeks past due the time I was expecting to receive it. I think that is just the way things are with all the demand for these units now. I suspect that although it is difficult to see the days pass without getting closer to where you want to be, that you will get there and it will all be well worth the wait. I have about another 1-2 weeks of installation work left and I will be able to "fire it up", finally. Looking forward to that day. I don't know about you, but this coal conversion has taken me a lot longer than I originally anticipated and at much more expense. On the other hand, I still expect it to pay back many times over what I have put into it. Hang in there.

Manny, the price of building material surprised me. I haven't done a big project like this in a lot of years. I'm way over budget with the install but I still should see payback within 2 years if oil stays this high. The next 3-6 weeks will be a bit stressful trying to get everything done before it gets cold but I'm really looking forward to winter this year. My EFM doesn't have power to it yet but it's already got me sweating my butt off. :)

Bill:

Let's hope that EFM designed a better way to keep us warm than that! :o Two year payback is great news. Mine is more like 3-4 years. There is not much doubt in my mind that oil will accommodate our payback schedules if not accelerate them.

Still no stoker. Not even an idea of a day to hope for. Getting cold and dont want to burn oil .Was told 6 boilers were on the way and I would get one of them once they arrived in a week or 2. Found out after that they were just the boiler and not complete units .Looks like 2 weeks will turn into 3 months. Is this dishonest or just dont know there business ? Not to impressed.

I bet if you offered a couple of hundred xtra bucks he would have one sooner.

After talking to that guy on the phone last spring I got the impression he's like Mr. Crabs off the cartoon SPongeBob Square pants.

I just sent my very last unit out today Kevin. Probably for an early June order. Be patient.

Had an encouraging conversation with stoker-man today. Did not realize that EFM has taken 5 years of demand in the month of june alone. I knew demand was up, but this is incredible. Fired up the oil pig today. Hate that thing. Next week I will be starting up 4 pulse boilers at a school I've been working on. They dont have a flame, They have 60 explosions a second. They need a muffler on the exhaust and air intake because they are noisy. Should be cool.

Kevin,

Have you considered a System 2000 or Buderus Oil Boiler? This might be a good option until the DF-520 is available?

Might was well burn oil efficiently until you can get a DF520! :shots: I thought the thread mentioned no more DF520 until June... :out:
