Try looking at other local hardware stores in your area, the national chains in your area may not have them but they should be able to get them if you ask.

Ace Hardware has them: http://www.acehardwaresuperstore.com/ga ... e4465eac6d

The 20 1/2" by 11"? That's a monster! Almost two bushels. I won't have to empty ashes every day. (If I can lift it)

Here's a question... when they say "10% ash", I assume that's by weight. What about by volume? If I burn 5 gallons of coal, how many gallons of ash will I have?

It pays to shop around. That square pail, the same pail, goes for anywhere from $26 to $48!

Hi Freddy check this link out read the 6th one I broke down the sizes and ash weight that the different size ash tubs will
hold The weights are from burning Superior coal Nut size & UAE nut The amount of ash weight will change from different brands of coal but only by a few lbs differents The Square Tubs will always hold more ash then the Round ones A bushel is

56lbs the 1 bushel round tube will not hold that much ash only 30 to 35 lbs of ash The Number 1 Square tub will hold 50 to 56 lbs filled to the top if you can find them get them they are lower then the round one but much wider you will catch more ash in them the round ones will miss more ash being they are round and Tall & Not Square less mess to clean up ;)

WHAT SIZE DO YOU THINK .

Thanks for the info!

The cheapest I've found on line: http://www.acehardwaresuperstore.com/ga ... e4465eac6d

I'll phone my local Ace hardware store today & see if they have them/ can get them at the sale price.

Be advised that these tubs probably ship as an Oversize 1 package. If so, the shipping charge could be $10 or more.

I just looked at the price and it would be cheaper to buy them from us.
