At the risk of ruining this "warm moment" between us :bighug:

Wouldn't it be nice if we had a President "man" enough to admit his mistakes!?

There were plenty of people that wanted more troops right from the get go, McCain was one of them. Rumsfeld wanted to showboat, that was the real problem and lead to his ouster.

I see. So where does GW Bush fit into all this & what is his military title again??

Oh Right!!!

Commander In Chief, isn't it?

(You know...GW Bush....the guy that McCain backs over 95% & agrees with almost all his policies & will continue them......That GW Bush!

Speaking of McCain, I just found this picture of him going into the oval office to forcefully demand Bush send in more troops.

Age discrimination is just as bad as biggotry.. shall we start throwing racialial crap on here too??

I'd much rather have an experienced man in the white house,, not some 150 day wonder..[ I wonder how anyone could vote for him].

Replace "President" with the word "Politician". The vast majority is guilty.

As to admitting mistakes...you have to know you made a mistake and understand you made a mistake and put your hardheadedness aside. :)

And yes, it would be nice...but I don't see either candidate this year being that type of "man".

Come on Greg...Lighten up! The difference between bigotry & joking about someone's age is that, with luck, we will all get old some day & thus we are poking fun at ourselves too! Every older Presidential candidate has to put up with it. Look at Ronald Reagan :D
( what we all don't do is turn black at a certain age!)

I disagree Mike & think that Obama would have a much greater willingness to admit a mistake than McCain, who is just as stubborn as GW.
(let's face it, in this age of political advisor's telling a candidate how to smile, it's tougher for any candidate to truly be himself, but you can just tell from Obama's demeanor that he is not a stubborn man)-----Opinion! :D
