I this worth replacing? Mind has been warped for quite some time, bit I have a problem with not being able to burn the stove low enough, esp. when windy. Any ideas on how to keep it burning lower. Would replacing this help? I often burn one side. I've had this stove since '83. I thougth about replacing the stove, but my chinney lines right up with the back of the stove and I haven't found anything I like as much.
Thanks for any advice. Brian

Install a barometric damper to give you consistant draft. Make sure the stove doors' gaskets or seals are good, and no air is getting into the stove except through the draft adjustment into the ashpan area...This should allow you to control your fire..

Thanks Guys, I guess I got to get to work. It must be leaking air somewhere. I do have a crack in the back that I caulked. I never took it all apart and had it serviced by Coal Heat in Albertus, PA quite a few years ago. I guess it's time to spend some money on it. I would rather dIY.
Thanks again, Brian
