If you're lucky it'll burn. You have to blow on it real hard. (:

When oil reaches 6.00 a gallon you'll do more then touch it you'll be rolling in it and laughing.
When I first starting using coal 2 years ago I tried to light it using a torch and a metal tray to see how it burns. I couldn't get it to light. The coal would get hot but I never did get ignition. I was like is this stuff really going to burn. In the Alaska with air being blown through the grate the coal ignites and burns quite well. If you have any problems just send the rest this way.

It would take a REAL BIG box!

I'm hoping any minute now the phone will ring and tell me the boiler is ready to ship. Originally they said 8-10 weeks. Another 5 days will make 12 weeks. I did speak with them a week or so back & the said a week or so. Even if it landed here today I am not rerady to install it. I'm further behind than they are! God put me here to accomplish a certain number of things. I am now so far behind that I can never die.

OH if it were only true... I'd have to live for at least another 80 years, and have the stamina and drive of a 30 year old.

Fred: I can always find room for more coal. Just wondering did you move the coal that u got recently with your machine or did the driver dump it where you wanted it? I would have had to dump it in my driveway and then move it to the back with a Bobcat. I think it would have been messy and I would have crushed a lot of it. Not sure beacause I went with bagged but..........

Move the coal? I had it dumped directly into the bin. I will use my clunky ol' Case backhoe to move it to fill the bin in the house. Poor ol' thing, if it ever dies I'm back to wheel barrow. I got very very lucky 5 or 6 yrs ago. The owner of the backhoe passed away and I was in the right place at the right time. The estate sold it to me for $1,500. It would not work 40 hours a week, but 40 hours a year? It does the job. It's like Frankenstein, all the parts are there & enough of them function so that it does work....somewhat. LOL

Use the coal for landsacping? Great idea! Black borders all around the flower gardens, ya, that'll be cool!
