Matt,
You definitely chose a great hospital. I spent 5 days on two different occasions for thoracic surgery. UOP and the doctors are as good as you can get for serious medical care. Specialist & surgeons are some of the hardest workers I have ever met. And they genuinely care about your health and your outcome. This was my experience, I'm sure you had the thoughts.
Now, get back to work. Laying around won't help!

The eagle has landed..... oops I mean er um ..... turkey!

Have been home for over 12 hours now, many errands to run and bills to pay but catching up slowly. I'm off to walk to the bank since I can't drive yet... will post progress as I get my vision back in shape, using an eye patch and one or the other eye depending on fatigue level. Getting my land legs so I can at least walk! :)

That's great news. Keep up the progress and don't push it, you don't want a relapse.
