I was expecting coal to come this Thursday. Double Run Trucking just called. He has a truck at Superior that was to pick up Rice for someone, but equipment trouble and they can't get the Rice. So, a quick call to me, "Can you take your Pea coal now?" Sure can!
No doubt someone just got a call.... "Sorry, no delivery for you at this time".

Either I'll have enough to last 10 yrs, or I'll be able to help someone that needs it come bad weather.

Freddy: Leave a little coal for the rest of us I guess you are on the VIP list because when I called they said they weren't taking on any more customers until the price increase in August. I have 25 tons stock piled so I can rest now.

As my coal bin nears completion, I'm looking for 20-22 tons of that good ole superior coal. Do any of you know anybody that delivers with a tri-axle? I can not get a semi to my bin, but a tri-axle will work! I'll post a few pictures when the bin is complete.
Thanks
Joe

I guess I'm not absolutely sure. I thought they said machinery trouble and they couldn't load the rice, but maybe that customer had to cancel for some reason. Bottom line.... call before you travel to get Rice.
Pretty much I told them "If you an bring it before the price increase, OK, or I'll just wait 5 yrs & see how things go." It cost less to extend my bin than the price increase would have been. Seemed like a good idea.
I'm going to take a scoop with my backhoe, rake it even, then hand bucket it & calculate the weight. Then if someone needs some I can say "this is he price, this is how much the bucket holds up to this line". I'm figuring $777 a ton will be less than the price of oil..... and I won't have to sell much! LOL I've always wanted to open a hamburger stand and charge $10,000 a burger. I wouln't sell many, but when I did, WooHoooo!

I spoke with Rodger this morning after seeing Freedys post. I'm supposed to get a delivery of rice on Thursday, he said the machine that crushes the coal for rice was down and will hopefully be back up in a day or two. I'm going to call back on Wed., if it's still down I will wait untill next week or just get a load of Buck instead. Congratulations on another 24 tons Freddy26Weeks wrote:Damn my Superior order of rice and buck is scheduled for next week are they down again?

Don't be shy, come & get some!
Oh Baby, I have a pile of coal. It's going to take some tucking to fit it all in the bin. 25 ton this time. Look OK to anyones experienced eyes?

Freddy, I was just out in the garden and found my 26 tomatoe plants sunk down in the earth a few inches. Are you sure you are not caving in Pennsylvania with all the mining you are causing ??? Then again it might be my groundhog hard at work. Regards, Mike

I'm wondering if the weight shift will effect the Earth's orbit. If the sun sets earlier tonight than last night, we'll know!stovepipemike wrote:Are you sure you are not caving in Pennsylvania with all the mining you are causing ???
