Your link doesn't work Greg. I get "b404 Page Not Found"
I've never heard Obama propose a 28% tax on all home sale profits or many of the other negative proposals you attribute to Obama.....I'd like to see where he says that in an election year. Prove me wrong~! :D

(In all his Democratic debate appearances & everything I've actually heard him say, the middle class's taxes will actually be lowered while those earning over $250,000/year will pay more.....Sounds good to me!)

Maybe you rich airline pilot types will pay more, but us poor, lowly disabled types will make out better! :P

Thanks for the working link Stephen. Here's a quote from the first page of the story:

McCain: The average taxpayer in every income group would see a lower tax bill, but high-income taxpayers would benefit more than everyone else. (my emphasis....So the super rich just keep getting richer...Sure sounds like Bush, doesn't it?))

Obama: High-income taxpayers would pay more in taxes, while everyone else's tax bill would be reduced. Those who benefit the most - in terms of reducing their taxes as a percentage of after-tax income - are in the lowest income groups. (again, my emphasis)

Here's the chart:

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS
Here's how the average tax bill could change in 2009 if either John McCain's or Barack Obama's tax proposals were fully in place.
MCCAIN OBAMA
Income Avg. tax bill Avg. tax bill
Over $2.9M -$269,364 +$701,885
$603K and up -$45,361 +$115,974
$227K-$603K -$7,871 +$12
$161K-$227K -$4,380 -$2,789
$112K-$161K -$2,614 -$2,204
$66K-$112K -$1,009 -$1,290
$38K-$66K -$319 -$1,042
$19K-$38K -$113 -$892
Under $19K -$19 -$567

Example from above table: If you look at someone earning between $38K-$66K....They will save three times more under Obama ($-1,042) than under McCain.($-319)

Then look at those earning between $227K-$603K......Under Obama they would pay $12.00 more in taxes....Under McCain they would save $4,380 in taxes!! (& of course the rest of us would have to take up the slack, right? )

Right there is all the reason you need to vote Democratic this year!!

With every commodity going up in price there is no way that taxes will stay the same, never mind going down sheesh. I don't care who is voted in. I'm just waiting for the hammer to fall. Local, state and federal will all go up. One other note, if the oil companies made billions and had to drill, pump, ship, refine it, wonder how much the fed made doing nothing but taxing it.

Could that "Tax Expert" be ex Senator (& McCain's life-long fiend & main financial adviser) Phil Graham who last week said that our economic problems are "in our imagination" & that we are "a nation of whiners"?? (Just before his chauffeur sped him off to the country club & he was forced to resign as McCain main economic adviser!....Forced to resign, not because Sen. McCain disagrees with him.....but because Graham's "Out of Touch" words would cost McCain votes this November) :poke:

Edit: My guess is that Phil Graham would end up Treasury Secretary in a McCain Admin.....No joke!
Get rid of them all this November,. I say! :flush:

You know....The more I re-read your original post Greg, the angrier I get!!

Not at you Greg, since I assume you accurately & honestly reported the "interpretations" of this "Tax Expert" you quoted, but at what amount to bald faced lies of a similar nature & evil intent to the lies that we Americans were fed as a pretext to going to war!

As an example, (among the many questionable statements attributed to Obama) please show me where Sen. Obama has ever proposed a 28% Tax on the profit of all home sales?

(if you can show me where Obama proposed that I will gladly retract my words...Hell......I'll even vote for McCain myself!)

Or any of these F----n lies:

NEW TAXES BEING PROPOSED BY OBAMA
>
> · New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than
> 2400 square feet
> · New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already)
> · New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas,

> · New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive
> the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!

Speaking of evil lies, perhaps the Obama camp should respond with a few of their own?

Here are a few I can get "experts" to vouch for:

1. When he was a POW, John McCain worked closely with the North Vietnamese (for better treatment) advising them where to aim to shoot our aircraft down more effectively. (from a former fellow POW)
2. Sen. McCain's office personal computer is loaded with child *censored* of young boys (from a computer expert)
3. McCain & Sen. Larry Craig are secret lovers (from a friend of Rep. Barney Frank)

(I can get pretty ugly too!!!)

More than crazy Ken.........The same evil lies that we have been insulted with for the last eight years & the fact that the 2008 version of Sen. McCain has allowed these lies to be spread in his name to bolster his campaign speaks volumes!

He's never said it in such stark terms. I believe this is coming from his stated plans to return to the Clinton era capital gains tax. I saw the interview. I believe it was with one of the morning shows, maybe with Stahl? He later backpedaled on it when people started pressing him on this number and I haven't seen much about it or this issue since.

I have never before heard the 40% dividend tax. That would be absolutely insane for him to support in any way.

I have heard him say he intends to bring back the death tax (inheritance tax), can't remember where or when.

Or any of these F----n lies:

NEW TAXES BEING PROPOSED BY OBAMA

I haven't heard him comment on the idea of a gas tax hike. This has been making the rounds in democrat land in congress though. He has stated in the past support for gas tax hikes (this was before the price rise) and recently said his problem with the gas prices today are that they rised so quickly and that that has financially shocked american families. The level of the price is not really a concern, only that the government isn't making all the money via a tax as opposed to the companies producing the product.

Home size tax, consumption tax, staples of the enviro-left and basically accomplished through carbon taxing and the like. Don't know if he's stated support for it, but it wouldn't surprise me if he had or does.

Don't know about retirement accounts. Again, I doubt he said it directly. This is probably being gleaned as an implicit point of support due to one of his more generalized statements, like the cap gains tax above.

Last one... of course he supports new taxes for his health plan. Where do you think all that tax money from the new taxes on "the rich" is going to go?

(re the 28% home sales tax)

Translation.....He never said it!

pvolcko wrote:I have never before heard the 40% dividend tax. That would be absolutely insane for him to support in any way.

Thus, another lie about Obama's tax plans.

pvolcko wrote:I have heard him say he intends to bring back the death tax (inheritance tax)

& I agree it should be brought back since it only starts after a half million dollars anyway.......Won't hurt me or anyone in the middle class! (It would just mean that rich families would have to pay their fair share of taxes for a change, instead of paying high priced accountants to help them avoid taxes!)

pvolcko wrote:I haven't heard him comment on the idea of a gas tax hike.

pvolcko wrote:Home size tax, consumption tax, staples of the enviro-left and basically accomplished through carbon taxing and the like. Don't know if he's stated support for it,

He hasn't

pvolcko wrote:Don't know about retirement accounts. Again, I doubt he said it

So we are really in complete agreement Paul......The "Tax Expert" (probably Phil Graham, who thinks we're all "Whiners") quoted in Greg's post is a lying sack of you know what!

Edit: Forgot one of your statements:

"Last one... of course he supports new taxes for his health plan. Where do you think all that tax money from the new taxes on "the rich" is going to go?"...

& who has been paying for John McCain's health plan all of his life?....You guessed it....Us Taxpayers! (first he was a Navy brat, then he was under military health care, then he was/is a public employee....He has never had to pay for his own health care & yet he has the nerve to resent us taxpayers getting "Our Cut" of OUR Taxes?!!....shut up!!!)
Always just amazes me that Republican hypocrites, who have been living off us taxpayers for most or all of their lives (in terms of their health care) scream "Socialism" when we taxpayers want the same thing they have for ourselves! What the hell....We are paying for it right??

Come November, I plan on telling them all to F--K Off!!

(as a public employee for most of my life, & one who could never have gotten a private insurance company to risk providing health or life insurance to an undercover DEA Agent, (I can just imagine the conversation between the insurance salesman & his boss:.."You insured who & he does what for a living??!?"...You're fired!) I paid for my own health plan/life insurance out of my own pocket & through my taxes & why shouldn't we all have that same opportunity?!)
