New Stove Question

Update on this. Got my LL Pioneer installed, and painted the inside with 2 coats of POR-15 Black Velvet paint which is rated for 1200*. Smelled up the house a lot when painting. When I did my first burn (last Sunday) it smelled a bit, but I expected it would with the first burn anyway. I had doors and windows open with a fan blowing the fumes outside and plenty of air circulation.

So far, so good with the paint. The stove is still burning, and paint is holding up. Will know more after the first season if it stops the inside from rusting/flaking.

It won't rust when you are using it, its rusts when you shut it down.

Great job. My stove was already rusted so I went with the original por-15 rated for 700 degrees. I've yet to get the stove that hot but so far the paint is holding up and while a little paint has flacked off right above the grate.
