I open a few windows or doors at night when it dips into the 50's, then I close them in the morning. It stays about 70 in here all the time, no AC. When it gets too hot we play in the hose.

My elec. bill was $60.00 less than last months. :) My well had a broken line and the pump was running continuously. :(

Ran the a/c for about three hours the other day. First time this summer. Used it to take the humidity out of the house. We live on a hillside where there is a near constant breeze. Stays nice in the house day and night. Hm, maybe I should get a wind turbine. Naw, I'm too old to realize an overall savings.

The worst was 90 bucks. Not too bad given the situation last year with -30 temps without coal. The few guys with wind turbines got screwed this year since the winds were so strong and it broke turbines. Extreme gusts close to 70 mph stripped the gears on them. A very windy year.

Rates around here really went up. Mine was usally about 50 -60 , now its 80-90. First Energy had 20 years to collect $300 mil from customers. Well they decided to do it in 2 years. GREEDY
