Are Nu-tec stoves any good?

Looking at a nu-tec amity cs45.
Has any one ever heard of one .
If so are they any good?
My son is in need of a coal stove and found this one. Do not want to purchase it if it is not a good stove.

According to this, they don't make the unit, just a casting to be used in making a stove by some other party. Without seeing it, I would recommend staying away from it. Got pics? Does it look like any in the link?

A google seach shows a few photographs none of which show an ashpan or shaker handle.. I suspect these are not designed for regular burning of anthracite.

I'd stay away from them untill you can find out more information.

Never heard of it either. Best to stick with a coal stove that you can get reviews of by owners right here. There are lots of good stoves out there, & lots of junk!

Reading Coal Co. sells this same stove as a Manantongo CS-45. I called a Reading dealer to get a quote on the price and I was quoted $1867.00. Reading only sells the darker colors; black, red, green, and matt black. The stoves on Ebay are lighter colors; ivory, almond, and light blue. Could it be that the lighter colors will change color more noticeably than the darker ones therefore Nu-Tec dumped them on liquidators?

I heated with coal before with a Saey cast iron stove that did not have porcelean on it, and I thought back then, 1989 or so, I was told that coal was to hot for porcelean?

I plan to buy either a Vigilant, Saey, or one of these off of ebay. I thought the vigilant was made in china?
