...locally here in Michigan the 10 day forecast is for lower temps and snow. They are also saying the long range models going out 2 weeks are saying the coldest arctic air of the season is on its way. Makes me happy!! How crazy am I??? My stove has been idle a week and I reamed it out. Will light 'er up on Saturday and watch the city of Detroit play host to the biggest party in sport on Sunday! Go Steelers!!!

This next week will be a good test of my new boiler. I'm pretty sure I will be able to maintain 160-170* water temp even with the drafty farmhouse pulling major BTU's from the boiler.

A true test would be 0* weather, but hopefully we won't see any this year. My shop and parent's apartment are still heated by propane. Next year the shop will be added to the wood/coal boiler system.

I myself would LIKE to see 0 temps again just to see if this stoker is up to the task

OK, if we get any 0* weather in MIchigan I'll send it your way!!

Actually with all the problems you had with your stoker, I agree with you that a good test is in order.

0! OMG. I'd settle for just the 20's here. The damb flowers are starting to come up already.

This weather is nice...you guys can have the cold and also our rain...lol..
I have burnt just about 2 tons since october...

I am at point of feeding the stove every 3-4 days now a 40 pound bag...and still 76 in the house...with bedroom windows open some...

Greg needs the cold to tweak his boiler..so next year he will be a pro at fireing it...

We do have some cold blowing in soon here also...

all in all it has been a good winter so far...but ground is saturated ..one day 14 inches of snow...then 50's and rain...melt off is to fast...lol...

Lime4x4 good to hear the stove is working out for you now..
