From that article:
The return to coal, however, is discouraged by environmental advocates.
HE HE HE! toothy

Yet another reason (of many) to burn coal!!

I've got a pile of syrofoam I'm saving to celebrate earth day -- a convenient way to get rid of gallons of household chemicals too! :woot: :punk:

The notion anthracite is substantially cleaner than other types of coal, as the coal dealers state, is wrong, he said.

“It’s like comparing a filthy lawnmower to an almost filthy lawnmower,” Moore said.

Vermonters struggling with heating costs should look to “responsible solutions” such as sustainably harvested wood, wood pellets, solar hot water and efficiency efforts, he said
What a load of Commie bullshit. You are right, the E-Wackos are going to have fun with this one. Wood burners produce much more pollution then coal. And we all know that Anthracite pollutes as much as other types of coal, the problem is I can't see any of it exiting my chimneys. :?: Must be stealth particulates.

Don't forget to check your tire pressure and get a tune up! :D

I'd like to see them hippies sew really thick blankets and use them for heat if they really cared about the environment.

The comments below give the same indication, one called for banning coal and wood boilers.

As I have stated in earlier posts, I live in an area full of these elitist lefties. Just remember when they call for sacrifice for their causes; it always means you and not themselves. It is time for the people of Vermont, I mean the real people, not the whacko implants from Boston and New York, to take their State back from these absurd individuals. The same goes for similar areas elsewhere. I will proudly burn my incandesant light bulbs and coal heater in my home as I see fit.

Everyone seems to know what is best for everyone else these days.In a lot of cases the people that seem to know what YOU should do,remain well monied [$$$],clean, warm, and dry all winter long. Many have never had hands so cold that you can't close them, never had a bill that was not easily paid. They also like to remain well insulated from the kind of work that makes the country run and prosper. I care about the enviornment like the next guy.I've got as much crabgrass as the next guy because I won't use chemicals etc,. I don't want any more rules and legislation by the tree huggers to help me over my short sighted thinking regarding my careful use of fuels . SHOW me a better, more affordable way, don't tell me about it and don't legislate me .Thats my half ton view of things. Mike

It's ok.....let them try to scare people. More fuel for the rest of us! When it comes right down to it....Ca$h is always the swing vote. If it comes down to losing your house or switching to a more affordable heat source, even the most hardcore enviromentalist will make switch.
