My brother Mark has been looking for a stove for a few weeks now. We stopped into a Stove store in Jaffrey NH this afternoon to see what they had. The guy told us flat out, nothing was available. He had 4 coal stoves, and a stoker on display, and all were sold. He had 12 pellet stoves on display, all sold. 8 wood stoves on display, all sold. Nothing left in the warehouse. Only thing available were two fireplace inserts, neither coal. He had 600 pallets of pellets, and 400 pallets of coal in the yard, all waiting to be delivered, nothing available to sell. It's a good time to be in that business.

Told us that Harman (all he stocks for coal) would not even be taking orders until after Jan 1.

Another story - Found a Harman II, 10 years old on craig'slist with 200 lbs coal for $300. Mark called less than 15 minutes after it was posted, and the lady said already 6 callers. We ran down there in less than an hour and scooped it up. She said 40 more calls in the hour. So he got rreal luck to find a real nice stove at a real nice price. :)

The demand is super high. If you see something you want, grab it fast.

I was one of the first callers the stove was in Amesbury. I just picked up a Russo I was calling to see if it was a stoker. No not at that price. Dave how do you like your Russo does it have the blower?

I had no luck trying to find either a Hitzer or Harman hand fired. I was looking for the Hitzer 50-93 with the blower or the Harman TLC-2000. I took the last 50-93 with the blower at Lehman's (thanks to you guys for mentioning them). With the blower it was $1749 and the delivery to the door was $250. I checked all over New England and everyone is out of those two brands until January. I did find one other Hitzer 50-93 with blower at an online store in CT. The price, pick-uped (they don't deliver) was almost as much as the one at Lehman's. So with gas, trying to get it off my pickup, and CT sales tax it would be more. When I called Lehman's today to finalize the order they were nice enough to give me 10% off the $1749! It'll be here next week when I'm on vacation.
