Happy Thought
Do you realize that allot of us will have our coal appliances up & running within a couple of months!
(Nothing better than watching an NFL game, in a nice warm room with the wind howling outside & you enjoying an amber colored adult malt beverage!)
Edit: I have my Harman TLC2000 in our basement family room with a wet bar & a HiDef projector filling an 8' movie screen to watch the game on!
Anyone who will be near SE Mass is welcome to come over for a game! (I'm serious!)
(Just bring some Superior Coal to be admitted!)

How hot does it get in your family room?
Still trying to get into this whole football thing after what happened in last years Superbowl
Preseason Sunday night at 8pm.

My wife has already turned on the oil hot air furnace to take the "chill"off in the morning. So it's EZ to see why I now burn coal. One night last winter I was at a friend's house on a service call(no heat) I had just loaded the furnace and told her to turn the air down when she gets warm. When I got home it was 80F in the house. When I asked why she didn't turn it down she said"I'm not uncomfortable".

I can completely control the temp down here by just opening a few "Window-Stats" if need be. I don't like it real warm so I try to keep all rooms in the 68^-72* range, year round. I have managed to move a good amount of the warm air upstairs (egg-crate ceiling panels, floor vents, etc) so that I never really need to open a window downstairs more than an inch or so to keep it cool. (just the window near the stove is all I ever open)

Sorry tradertraderfjp wrote:Devil: These are not happy thoughts. I like it naturally warm, it's 72 outside right now, so please stop pissing on my good thoughts.
(I'll let you have another month of your temps..........Then it's my turn! )

I guess soon I'll be connecting the heating duct to the Alaska so it can resume heating more then the DHW and the cellar.
The Harman won't see a fire for awhile, though.

It's 50* outside now, good thing it's going to get up to 80 today. House should stay pretty cool since it's like living in a freezer in here right now. *brrr*

53 here right now. The oil burners are dreading the cold weather, I don't think any of them are having happy thoughts.

Got down to 57 last night. Keystoker's supposed to be delivered in November... been running coal bin plans through my head for the last week. I can't wait to try this great "coal" I've been hearing about so much for the past few years. Heat with less work, what a great concept!
Still have 3 cords of wood split and stacked for the wood insert just in case the Keystoker delivery is a little late, but I get the feeling we'll have the stove on time.
