Before installing my HyfireII and heat ducts can anyone give me an idea of expected heat flow/conduction to the room above the stove?

Hyfire in basement with living room above. uninsulated floor, wall to wall carpeting.

Initial plan is to put floor register in this room, but I am now wondering about how much heat will enter the room from below without a floor register. I don't want this room to get too hot. I guess I could put the floor register in and reduce flow to that room and redirect flow away from that room if it gets too hot.

You wont get much heat up there if you don't cut a vent (or 2) in the floor above. You need to provide a way for the heated air to get above the basement ceiling & a way for the cold air to be returned.
