I Visited Lut'z's coal yard this morning (in Skippack ,Pa) interested in seeing a Hearth Model from Leisure Line. They do not have one currently !
My chimney thimble is only (approximately) 35 inches from floor level. Can you give me an idea where the vent is located for the Hearth Model. I would like to squeeze in the 6 inch pipe behind the stoker with a barometric damper. I'm concerned about the thimble being so close to the floor. Is the damper required / recommended ? Is it possible to plumb from the hearth model to a thimble with it being so close to the floor. Thanks!

Hi,
The Hearth pipe is only 1" off of the floor, 4" to center. I'm a little confussed(really I'm always confussed) The stoker on the hearth is on the side, not the back. The barometric is required. The hearth is a Pioneer BV with a side feeder and no legs.

I would like to squeeze in the 6 inch pipe behind the stoker with a barometric damper. Thanks for the reply. I should have plenty of room to install a 6" pipe out of the Hearth vent to the thimble including a barometic damper. Lutz's Coal Yard should be getting back to me with avaliability / timing for the LL Hearth unit.
