I talked to my dealer this week and my stove ship date was the 25th of this month callled them this week and it is not ready yet. They said it is not put togather yet at the factoiry but should be shipped in a couple of weeks. I put my deposit down early june and my dealer had three on order then I recieved a shipment statement form the dealer for the 25 of Aug. Anyone have any insite on where Alaske stands on any shipments I have been promissed that I will get the stove in a couple of weeks but I am not buying any coal (dealers primary buisness ) until I have the stove in hand. The mornings are starting to have heavy dew, the days are getting shorter and I'm getting quite anxiouse!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also have a Channing III on order. It was supposed to be in around mid August. The last time I talked to my dealer, they said Alaska was a little behind and it should be in at the end of August or begining of September. I'll be replacing my hand fired stove and have held off on getting any rice coal just in case the stove doesn't show.

I ordered my Channing 3 on May 10th from Complete Heat of Nashua NH and was delivered as promised on June 26th. I got a call from my dealer about a week before delivery stating that my stove was placed on a truck headed for New England. I know how nervous I was that my stove would not arrive and how happy I was when it finally did. I would have to say that you should take them at their word. A couple of weeks delay this crazy year is not too bad compared to some other manufacturers. Try searching some threads about how Harman stove customers are making out this year and you will feel a lot better.

I wish you both luck and let us know how you make out.

I ordered from the factory Aug 1st. Was promised by Thanksgiving. Called the other day to change colors and they said still on schedule for late November. Building my bin next week and if all goes well getting it filled also. If they can't fullfill my order on time the coal will still be there.

I wonder what the rush for stoves will be like when November and December rolls around and people realize they need to do something. Many people like to wait to the last minute. I hope u guys get your stoves on time. I have an Alaska 3 and love it. It was the perfect size for the placement of the stove.

Just got it yesterday, 9/6/08. Direct vent setup.
Installed it last night. It was ordered May 10TH also.
Fired it up this morning to burn it off, but after a couple hours it tripped off.
Can anyone tell me why?
Did I just get it too hot, and need to cool it down and try again?
Tom
