How to set a barometric draft control.

I have a keystoker boiler and I was woundering how to set a barometric draft control. Should it be closed when the boiler is on and half way when at idle? It is a 8" flue and flue pipe is on a 45 into a tee that runs horizontal for about 3 feet than vertical . Which side should the counter weight be set on. ? V or H? And what number ?

You really need a draft guage to set it properly. I generally put baros on a 45 on horizontal.
