I put a deposit on one locally (for another member of this forum) that is supposed to be delivered in the next couple weeks. The dealer believes it will come in on time. We shall see...

I picked mine up 4/08,local dealer did not have any, and would not get any until at least 2/09. So I drove 3 hours to pick one up that another dealer had on stock. The dealer really gave me a hard time, had to sign papers stating that if I need warranty help, I would not expect them to come to my house.

Does the VF3000 burn buckwheat coal as well as rice coal and how much are they selling for now with the domestic hot water coil?

Thanks for the info.

Buckwheat don't burn so well so I've been told.

Just bought one for a fellow forum member and it was $4800 w/o DHW coil. The dealer tends to be pricey but it was still worth it just to be able to get one now.

I paid $3800 in July for mine at a small out of the way dealer that had a leftover from Spring. Last one too 8-)

The manual says it will burn buck. You need a really good draft for buck. I test burned some earlier this year and had a hopper fire. I think Matthaus burned buck in his Harman stoker but ran the combustion blower 24/7 and had to adjust the feed. I decided to stick with rice

I put money down on my VF3000 July 17th 08 and picked it up August 19th 08. I got very lucky as the dealer said he had four of them coming in August 8th and two were not sold,so I grabbed one.
