Has anyone got any new Keystoker boilers lately, if so let us poor souls know your order date so we can get a better idea when we will get ours.

It is not looking good for Keystoker. They are getting crushed by parts shortages. Right now they are only kicking out 60 stoves a month  . I got a Koker the other day, and a boiler. They are both gone now. At this rate the boilers I ordered for next September are in question.

To those people waiting, I would recommend to continue to wait. Even with oil at $3.00 a gallon, the savings are still 50%!, and more if you are unfortunate enough to be using propane. And if the unit comes in for December, that is still half the heating season, and you are done for good with opec when it comes to your home  I have had a few cancellations, but I also have a long waiting list of people who want these units. If you cancel an order now, you better get your name on an order list for next year right now.

I ordered a Keystoker Hearth in early July. I called Keystoker today and they said that they are waiting on stoker parts. They said that December/January would be the earliest.

Does anyone know how the other manufacturers are doing?

Maybe it's time to start my own stove manufacturing business here in Ohio - BuckeyeStoker. Eh, maybe I'll just wait.

efo,

Talked to my dealer on Thursday. He said that Keystoker called "HIM" . That's the first time that has ever happened. He hasn't received any boilers since early August. He said that they were going to ship him some K2's and K6's, next week. He doesn't know how many he will get. I'm 7th on his list for the K6. Keystoker is also waiting on motors, grates, etc. from their suppliers. We just have to be patient.

On the order placed June 18th, if it were placed on that date, it might be the end of the year before you see it. I have some of my early orders placed in the end of May that I have not seen yet. The rest of my orders were placed in the beginning of June, for which I am still waiting. Just be patient, these units will forever free you from the unstable oil market.

I just got off the phone w/ my dealer. He received 3 boilers last week. 2-K2's and 1-K6. He said that Keystoker received a bunch of motors and grates, so they should be shipping out more boilers very soon! :dancing: I'm now 5th on his list. I'm his first June order. Keystoker told him that they are working on June orders. Hopefully I'll get it by the end of the month. Hang in there guys!!

In recent conversation with my Keystoker dealer it was again stated I would not get the kaa2 until almost spring. I didn't order it until the beginning of August. The dealer said in light of the financial situation and what some folks are facing that he would refund one half of my down payment and still keep my order in line for delivery as it becomes available. Now that is a good way to further one's reputation as a dealer. :) Regards, Mike

Ordered a KA-6 in late June. Got the call yesterday that they are waiting on/building(?) the jacket for it and hopefully in a week or two it will be ready for delivery (with the caveat of "no promises" so they were either trying to me off their backs or it's really in the final build stage). They needed to know if I needed a lefty or a righty which I took as a good sign. It was ordered through a dealer.

Thank goodness the weather has been mild thus far.

Furnace or Boiler?? Most of this thread is about Kaa2 and Ka6 units which are boilers..

KA-6 DF was $5,500.00 back in April when I priced them, I bought the KA-6 w/o the oil fro $4,600.00.

I purchased a Ka-6 with the oil burner for $5,100. We were given a deal? since my parents bought a Kaa2 at the same time.
