I have a furnace that is identical to the Clayton 1600 am looking to see where the forced draft blower mount on the clayton.
Is it in the ash pan door or Just under the main fire box door?
Mine mounts just under the main door and I am thinking of mounting it in ash pan door to make it mor effective.
Any advice or thoughts on this?

You can mount it anywhere as long as the air feeds under the grates, typically it would run to the ash pans tunnel. Some are mounted higher and use an airbox to deliver the air below the grates. Post a few pics inside and out and you'll get some answers.
