Hi,
I'm considering adding a coal boiler to my existing oil system. I live in Massachusetts and contacted the closest coal provider to get a quote. I'm not sure which brand of stoker boiler he sells, but the manufacturer is back ordered through May. I understand that alternative fuel burners are in high demand this season, but is it more or less too late to find coal boilers? My existing oil boiler is 320K BTUs, but I was considering a smaller coal unit to act as the primary with the oil for backup. I've been watching for second hand boilers but all that I've seen is older hand fed units.

Thanks!
Gary

If u do the leg work you might find one. Call every stove shop you can find in every state and you might turn something up. You can always have it shipped. The other option is to keep looking on Ebay and in the papers for a used boiler. I would also ask about a stove too so if u can't get the boiler u can buy a stove and then sell it later on.
