Also 19 of 50 pieces of insulation missing that shows was shipped. I ordered 50, they sent one full box, 31. The invoice shows 50 shipped. Now, my word against theirs?

This happens more than you think for a shipper. That's why a package is accurately weighed. When someone says a part wasn't included, I duplicate the order again, including cardboard, and weigh it. In almost all cases, "the customer is right".

Recently, someone said a cast iron part wasn't included and wanted a credit or replacement. The part weighs 8 pounds and is about the size of a small loaf of bread. I duplicated the order on the scale and it came up exactly to the shipped weight. So, we refused credit. The next day we got a call that the 8 pound iron part was discovered.

Freddy

I know this isn't pex and not what you were looking for but I think the blue strip tubing is safe for home water use? Anyway I bought some tubing from here http://www.berryhilldrip.com/PolyPg.htm for my swimming pool and their price was untouchable from any other place I could find that sold it by at least 50% and sometimes a 100-150%.

I have some oxy barrier pex on order. Should be here Tue.

The 19 pieces of insulation are lost. They all shipped at the same time, that one 6' box must have fallen behind a toilet someplace. Pexsupply will not ship replacement until UPS takes 7 or 8 days to trace it. Riiiiiiiiiiight. I spoke with the big cheese & he said he'd ship replacement today. Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.

The same thing happened to us recently. I shipped a 4"x4"x18" tube and somehow all 19 steel strips fell out and every one got lost. UPS apologized for the loss and said they would search for the missing steel for a week and then deny the claim for damage because the box wasn't strong enough.

I laughed out loud. You mean you're going to search for my stuff for a week and then deny the claim? What, are you kidding me, or what, I said.

She was very sorry for the loss and suggested the next time I should pack stuff better.

UPS damage claims operators are ALL extremely polite, but really tough.

That's why I'll never us UPS again, they're another company who is difficult to deal with when there's a problem. I switched over to Fed Ex a few years ago and have had nothing but excellent service and extremely polite customer service when needed.

Agree on the UPS issues...

I am in the middle of a battle with them now. its crazy. you buy the insurance on the item and it gets damages and you have to basically recreate the earth to get them to issue a credit to repair or replace what was damaged.

UPS only recently started cracking down on small stuff; for us anyway. FedEx was worse. At least UPS used to pay most small claims, but FedEx wouldn't pay anything.

You are required to have a 2" air space around everything, filled with paper or such, but the latest thing is that the box has to be taped on 6 surfaces. Sometimes it looks like the box was smashed between two pallets, but if the tape wasn't right, they won't pay.

We live in a society of "win by a technicality" not "do what is right"!

Yes, sir, we completely damaged your product and it is entirely our fault, but b/c of section 57 article 32 of our insurance policy we do not have to pay b/c the product was damaged when it fell off our truck into the highway. you'll have to take your claim to the highway dept!

I had a claim a few yrs ago with FedEx. The box was wet, contents wet, crushed and ruined. When it was delivered I took photos of it AND THE DRIVER so I could prove that's how it was delivered. When a cardboard box gets dropped into water, it gets wet. This box had capilary action half way up the box. They dropped it off a tailgate into a mud puddle and left it to saak over night!!!! It didn't take muck talking with a supervisor to make himm realize it was not sent that way, and it did not get that way after it was here. That cost them $600.

I think I may go against the grain and put an order in with them. Free Shipping if you spend $300. But first I'm going to my local plumbing house and get a quote. If its reasonable (within $20-$30) I'll stay local. But I don't think they will be.
