I need to get some flue pipe for my boiler. The manual says to install a 6" flue pipe from stove to chimney with a baro damper.
The actual flue connection on the boiler is 6" pipe (6-5/8" o.d.).
I was told by the plumber that is helping me install the boiler to buy 7" flue pipe. The 7" flue pipe is 7" o.d. this leaves a 3/16" gap all the way around the flue pipe connection.
I read in another thread that the flue should fit tight over the connection on the boiler, so should I go with 6" flue pipe?
Also, do I need to get the black stove pipe or will the galvanized stuff work too? The plumber that is helping me told me to buy the galvanized stuff.
Thanks for the help.
It has been a stressful time the past few weeks. My boiler came in, i finally got it in my basement and have been working on the plumbing. Coal was delivered today, and I was up late last night tightening up my coal bin.
I'm a coal newbie and can't wait to get this boiler running.
