That looks like an EFM to me. the round inspection cover on the side,, the fines handle sticking out of the cover over the stoker mechanism. and the coal bin [55 gallon drum] on the opposite side from the stoker mechanism.... all looks like EFM or a very close copy.

Since it has a water site tube, it probably is set up for steam, but it can be plumbed to be a water boiler too.. just remove most of the water-level controls and valves, and use just the simpler items for a water system..

It looks to be in good shape, if it's what you need, I'd recommend that you buy it.

I guess that solves that. At least I learned you can convert from steam to hot water.

Look at the photo that shows the 55 gallon drum,, that is the coal hopper, at the bottom of the drum you can see the 2" auger tube connecting the hopper to the boiler.

WOW, that auger is tiny compared to the AA. I envisioned it being bigger.

Nope, it pulls rice from the hopper, and it is a classic auger, solid shaft in center, flight or 'threads' on the outside, all inside a close-fitting tube..

The AA auger is totally different, it is hollow in the inside, carries the larger pea size coal up the flights by gravity.. just wait till you watch it in action.
