In my previous post I had questions regarding the installation of SWG-4HD power vent.

OLD MILL Coal Stove Auto Feed Venting Question

At the moment we are working on a non combustible floor, with all of the correct setbacks. The power vent is not installed yet, however we may get to it by next Saturday.

The information I could use now is concerning the placement of the WMO-1 stack switch. The control comes with install diagrams, and it suggests it be placed right before the "T with barometric damper" and after the "Vent out" of the Stoker. However on the Alaska's and Leisure lines they are placed on the back of the stoker near the top and close to the sides. If this is the correct placement for a mini stoker could someone give me some measurements they are using so I could install it in the right place the first time, and so I don't have to drill several holes in the wrong place.

Again, any help is always appreciated. I will post pics as soon as some progress is starting to make way.

Thank you

Neal

IMO the WMO-1 needs to be installed in the fire box of the stove at near the height of the stoker assembly but no too close. That way the unit will trip if you lose draft within a minute or so but will not be subject to nuisance trips by being too high and therefore affected to high fire rates. My concern would be that if you mount it in the flue pipe it will be too slow to react. :)
