I'm trying to place my new Koker....how far away from the gas furnace and/or water heater does it need to be? When it states, 'side clearance 18 ", i'd assume its from all things, but can I stick it in the same room as the gas furnace??? It's not here yet, but we're cementing the coal room & creating a cement pad for the furnace.

Thanks!

Yes, it can go near the gas furnace. Usually the clearances required are from combustible surfaces so in theory you could put it right against a cement wall. The other reason is to service it, both it and the appliance it goes next to should not be restricted from access.
