I like to fish and hunt deer, grouse and tin cans. I also have a snowmobile, a 1994 Arctic Cat EXT 580 Mountain Cat. I don't really trail ride, I have a loop I do behind my house on the hill which is up about 3000' so there is plenty of fresh snow most of the time to play in. I pull the kids behind the sled on their tubes up and down the hills so everyone has a fun time. I used to ride motorcycles all the time when I had to commute to work, but now that I work from home I kinda got bored with just riding for the sake of riding and it isn't as easy to just leave for the day so I stopped, I'm sure I'll start up again someday. The pictures are of my Yak's, I love these girls! They are stronger than hell, I weigh 250 and when I take each one for a walk they can drag me down the street easily. They are only 8 months old, once they get full grown I plan on teaching them to pull a cultivator and do some old fashioned farming without burning any gas. They are edible too as they are made of meat but I don't think I'll ever eat them. My hobby is subsistence farming or homesteading, it's been so long since people had to make or work for what they need I find it a fun challenge to try and do things the old way.

That looks VERY yummy! I like to BBQ a brisket or pork butt a few times a year - I use the BBQ Baffle which turns my Weber Performer into a pretty decent low and slow BBQ device. Only problem is neither the wife or the kid enjoy BBQ very much....so either I have to eat it all or give it away....and I don't mind doing either!eelhc wrote:How about lump charcoal? BBQ anyone?

Good grief, where do I start! I wish I could retire tomorrow and become a full-time hobbiest! But, I have at least 20 years to go, if not more. My goal is to retire by the time I'm 50, but that's 11 years away (and a LOT of money to put into my sinking 401k yet....
I'd say my two main passions are guitars, amps and airplanes.

Last few pics - we're finally getting back to building our kitplane which we started almost 10 years ago - then my work travel got in the way and then our son came along. To top it off, we moved in '05 and the current house just doesn't have a place to build unless we leave the cars outside all winter, which isn't something you do willingly (even unwillingly) here, especially with two diesels (her '05 Liberty CRD and my '02 Jetta TDI wagon).
The garage is a bit more complete now, with the front door installed and electrical partially complete. Hope to get the painters in this week to paint and then I can get the gas heater installed and vented. Future plans are for a coal boiler in the garage and I've already got Pex to the house in the ground - planning ahead for when natural gas goes through the roof again.

I love to go crabbing. My buddy George that just bought the mark I and I co-own a boat and go crabbing together. It's alot of fun. We did really well this year. Lots of delicious Md. steamed crabs. Here's a bushel live ones and a big one with George's son Jake.

Cool! Do you have to have a permit or license to crab like that?
