How much rice coal can you fit in a 55 gallon drum? I have to move approx 1/2 to 3/4 ton of coal and need to put it into barrels for temporary storage.

I think there was a thread on this...maybe 300-400#'s? Some of the EFM /AHS users use a 55 gal. drum for the coal hopper.

A 5 gal bucket of pea coal is 40 lbs
55 GAl is 11 times larger
40 X 11 = 440 LBS
